Mary turned six on January 5! Since her birthday was on a Tuesday (school day) we had a simple family celebration that evening with cupcakes:
Then today we had a birthday party with two of Mary's friends. Though not the original intent, it sort of ended up having a Princess theme. Mary is not shy about wearing her princess tiara:

We had a very cold, snowy December. We got to build one good snowman before Christmas, and it was so cold that this snowman was still standing a week later!
